Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how QRCode Alligator ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our website qrcode-alligator.com (the "Service"). We built the Service to be private by design: you don't need an account, and the content you turn into QR codes never leaves your browser.

Information we collect

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the Service.

The data you enter to generate a QR code — such as URLs, text, contact details, or Wi-Fi credentials — is processed entirely in your browser. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical and usage information through analytics, such as your approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, referring pages, and how you interact with the Service. This information is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Service so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect the usage information described above.

We also store small amounts of data in your browser (for example, your color-scheme preference and whether you have dismissed the cookie notice). This data stays on your device.

For more detail about the cookies we use and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, to understand which features are used, to diagnose technical problems, and to keep the Service secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve personalized advertising.

Third-party services

Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) processes usage data on our behalf. You can learn more from Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical data such as your IP address as part of delivering and securing the site.

Data retention

Aggregated analytics data is retained according to the settings configured in Google Analytics. Data stored in your browser remains until you clear it through your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing.

Because we do not collect information that identifies you personally, we usually cannot link analytics data to an individual. You can still control analytics collection by using your browser's privacy controls or a Google Analytics opt-out, and you can contact us with any questions about your rights.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be highlighted on the Service.
