Terms of Service

Effective November 1, 2026

These terms govern QRCode Alligator: the QR code generator at qrcode-alligator.com, the tracking service at track.qrcode-alligator.com, its short links at qrgo.page and its API (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Individual Entrepreneur KONSTANTIN UVAROV, Identification Number 302249118, Georgia, trading as QRCode Alligator (“we”, “us”). By using the Service — generating a code, creating a tracked code or an account, or calling the API — you accept these terms.

The service

The generator makes static QR codes in your browser. A static code contains your destination itself, so it works without us, and we never see what it contains.

A tracked (dynamic) code points at a short link on qrgo.page. When it is scanned, the short link redirects to the destination you set, or answers with the contact card you entered. Because every scan passes through the Service, a tracked code depends on it; see “When a code stops working”.

What is free

The generator is free: unlimited static codes, with no sign-in and no watermark.

Tracked codes and their scan statistics are free within the limits below. There are no ads on the generator or on scans.

A free tracked code answers a scan with its destination or its contact card, with no page in between. The one exception is the warning page we show when a destination has been flagged as unsafe (see “Acceptable use”).

Limits on tracked codes and the API

Accounts created on or after November 1, 2026 (the “terms date”) can have up to 100 active tracked codes and make up to 100 API calls a day. A code is active until it is deleted, so a paused code counts. A day is a calendar day in UTC. These two limits take effect when paid plans go on sale; until then, those accounts have the same limits as older ones.

Accounts created before the terms date keep the limits that applied to them on that date: up to 200 new tracked codes a day, 20 destination changes per code a day and 10,000 API calls a day per API key, with no limit on the number of active codes.

Accounts created on or after the terms date also have daily limits on new codes and destination changes, which protect the Service from abuse and which we may change.

Reaching a limit stops new codes, changes or API calls until the limit resets or you move to a paid plan. It never stops a scan.

Automated use is welcome through the API with an API key. Do not try to get around the limits, for example by opening several accounts.

A code created without an account expires after 7 days unless you sign in and claim it. After that, its address shows a “link expired” page and never points anywhere else.

When a code stops working

We never switch off a tracked code, except when you pause or delete it or delete your account, when it was created without an account and expires unclaimed after 7 days, when we disable it under “Acceptable use”, or when the Service ends.

In particular, a code is never switched off because an account reached a limit, because a trial ended, or because a paid plan was cancelled or not renewed: the account moves to the free tier and every code keeps resolving, codes on a branded domain included.

If the Service ends, every tracked code stops with it. We will try to give notice, but we do not promise it. For a code that must keep working whatever happens to us, use a static code from the generator, which encodes your destination directly.

Paid plans (Alligator Business)

Paid plans are not on sale yet. This section applies from the day they are.

Paid plans add capacity and features to the tracking service. What each plan includes and costs is shown where you buy it, in the dashboard. Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance; a yearly plan costs ten times the monthly price.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, invoices, sales tax and VAT, and payment-related questions, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.

A plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We email you a reminder 30 days before each yearly renewal. You can cancel at any time with the “Cancel subscription” link in your account, which takes you straight to Paddle's customer portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.

The 60-day trial of a paid plan takes no payment card, is limited to one per organization, and never charges you on its own: on day 60 the account moves to the free tier unless you have bought a plan.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy at qrcode-alligator.com/refund-policy.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service for phishing, malware, scams or spam, for content that is illegal, or to get around someone else's blocking. Do not use a contact code to pass yourself off as another person or organization.

Every destination is checked against Google Safe Browsing and our own blocklist when a code is created or changed, and periodically after that. We may show a warning page before a destination, disable a code or close an account. We may do so without notice when a code puts the people scanning it at risk.

To report a tracked code, use qrgo.page/report/ followed by its code, or email [email protected]. Every report is reviewed within 48 hours.

Your content

You are responsible for the codes you create and where they lead. We claim no rights in your destinations or your contact details.

On a contact code, enter only contact details that are yours to share, or that the person they belong to has agreed to share. Everyone who scans the code receives them.

Your account

You can delete your account at any time in the dashboard. Its tracked codes stop working and are deleted, as described in the tracking service's privacy policy.

We may close an account that breaks these terms.

Liability

Apart from what these terms promise, the Service is provided as is, without any guarantee of availability or uptime.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by the Service being unavailable, by a code being disabled under these terms, or by what a destination contains.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia, and disputes go to the courts of Tbilisi. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
